Traditional grooming environments are often loud, busy, and fast paced. Our approach is different. Every appointment is calm, individualized, and focused on your dog's comfort rather than speed or volume.
We groom one dog at a time from start to finish. This means no overlapping appointments, no cages or kennels, and no long waits. Your dog receives our full attention during their visit and is sent home right after grooming is complete. This quieter, one on one setting allows us to move at your dog's pace and provide extra time and patience when needed.
Your dog's comfort and well being are always our top priorities. We use high quality, pH balanced, hypoallergenic products chosen to support skin and coat health. If your dog has sensitivities, allergies, or skin conditions, any medically necessary shampoos, conditioners, soaks, or treatments are included when needed at no extra charge. Essential care should never come with added costs or surprises.

I have two older schnauzers who were in real need of grooming. They were matted and Alma assessed them ahead and let me know they would have to be quite short. What I didn't know was that Alma assessed their skin and gave them exceptional care with her understanding of dry skin. She gave them what she called a mud bath which helped their dry, itchy skin. I highly recommend this grooming business!

Alma is sweet, direct, and kind, and she always provides me with useful information on how to better care for my dog.
Best groomers in Oakland! My husky is very dramatic and sensitive about grooming. He LOVES the groomers at LTP, and when I go to pick him up he doesn't want to leave. The staff tell me regularly that they love him and that he is getting more used to the grooming process each time, which is 100% due to their love and gentle care.
My pups love going to Leading the Pack! My girl dog Sasha is so sassy and doesn't like a lot of humans or dogs, but she behaves so well for Alma and Carlos and they always come home so excited to show off their haircuts! Reasonable pricing, close to home, and my dogs are always happy. Highly recommend!
